Refund Policy

Mahina Homes is operated by MAHINA HOMES LIMITED, a Private Company Limited by Shares registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. We are committed to your satisfaction. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can cancel a booking and request a refund.
1. Cancellations and refund tiers
Refund eligibility for shortlet bookings is based on how far in advance you cancel, calculated from the scheduled check-in date and time:
- More than 14 days before check-in: full refund of the booking amount, less a 5% processing fee.
- 7–14 days before check-in: 50% refund of the booking amount.
- Less than 7 days before check-in: non-refundable, but dates may be rescheduled once subject to availability and a small admin fee.
- No-shows: non-refundable.
All cancellation requests must be sent to info@mahinahomesltd.com with your booking reference and reason. Once approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
2. Non-refundable items
The following are generally not eligible for refunds:
- Bookings cancelled less than 7 days before the scheduled check-in.
- No-shows or partial stays after check-in.
- Cleaning, service, or concierge fees once the apartment has been prepared for your arrival.
- Promotional or discounted bookings explicitly marked as non-refundable at checkout.
3. How to request a refund
- Contact us at info@mahinahomesltd.com with your booking ID, the dates concerned, and a brief reason.
- We will respond within 3–5 business days and guide you through the process.
- Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used for the original booking where possible.
4. Currency
Refunds are processed in the same currency as the original transaction (NGN or USD). Transactions in Nigerian Naira (NGN) are processed in compliance with applicable Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines. Any difference due to exchange rate fluctuations is at the customer’s risk.
5. Damages and security deposit
Where a security deposit is collected, it is refundable after check-out subject to inspection. Costs to repair damage caused during your stay, replace missing items, or perform deep cleaning beyond ordinary use may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced separately.
